Which numbers in your deck carry a source?

Send us a deliverable you have already given a client. We show you which figures carry a cited source, which do not, and which disagree with each other. It is the thing a partner checks before signing — done in a minute instead of an afternoon.

Audit a deliverable

Checks whether each figure carries a cited source, whether cited sources appear anywhere in the deck, and whether the same metric appears with different values. Nothing confidential leaves your firm.

This tells you whether a figure carries a source. It does not tell you whether the figure is correct — a number without a source on the page may still be true.

Why this exists

General AI assistants now draft a credible-looking deck in minutes, and they will cite a source. What they cannot tell you reliably is whether a number appears anywhere in the client's material — and they will not give you the same answer twice with a record attached. When a consultant uses one of them, the consultant becomes the verification bottleneck, and that is the expensive part of a senior person's week.

How to use it

  1. Choose a deck you have already delivered — not a draft.
  2. Start with the source check. It needs nothing confidential and runs immediately.
  3. If you want the full trace, add the client documents and your email. The verified audit is returned within 48 hours.
  4. Read the “what this does not tell you” section before forwarding it internally. It is there for a reason.

A worked example

A 38-slide market-entry deck. The audit found 42 figures: 11 carried no cited source on their slide, and the same margin appeared as 61% on slide 12 and 65% on slide 24. Against the client documents, 6 of the 42 figures could not be found in the material supplied. None of that means the numbers were wrong — three of the six were from an interview the client had arranged. It means nobody could tell, before the partner signed.

Questions

What does the audit actually check?
Whether each figure carries a cited source on its own slide, whether the sources named in the deck appear anywhere in it, and whether the same metric appears with different values in different places. In the verified tier, it also checks whether each figure appears in the client documents you supply, and whether each cited source is a document the client actually has.
Does it tell me whether my numbers are correct?
No, and it does not claim to. It reports whether a figure is evidenced. A number with no cited source on the page may still be true — it might come from an interview or the team’s own analysis. The report says there is no source, not that the number is wrong.
Do I have to send the client documents?
No. The source check needs only the deck, and nothing confidential leaves your firm. The verified audit needs the client documents, and it is the tier that can tell you whether a figure traces to their material. Those documents are processed to produce the audit and are not retained.
How long does it take, and what does it cost?
The source check runs immediately in your browser. The verified audit is returned within 48 hours. Both are free, and neither requires a call.
What file types can it read?
PowerPoint (.pptx), PDF and Word (.docx), up to 20 MB each. Decks made of images cannot be read — the audit needs text.
