Market Entry

The four questions a market entry has to answer: what the market is, how big it is, how you get in, and what it costs to operate once you are. The sizing is computed in Python and every assumption behind it is disclosed — including the ones with no source, which are the ones your client will find.

The engagement brief

The numbers are computed on our side in Python. The model writes the analysis around them and cannot restate or adjust them.

Questions this playbook raises

What does the market entry playbook produce?
Four things: the market as it was defined and what was excluded from it; the entry modes with their trade-offs and a recommendation; a go-to-market sequence ordered by dependency rather than by date; and the operating model and integration implications that follow from the entry mode chosen.
How is the market size calculated?
Bottom-up, on our servers, in Python: total customers times annual revenue per customer gives the TAM, then the reachable share gives the SAM, then the realistic capture share gives the SOM. The model writes the analysis around those numbers and is not permitted to restate or adjust them. Every assumption is shown with its basis and its source, and assumptions with no source are labelled as such.
Is the market entry playbook free?
Yes. It needs no account, and there is no limit you will hit in a trial.
What if I do not have the market data?
Then the playbook tells you what is missing, what it would cost to close, and what the answer is worth. It does not fill the gap with a plausible number — an unsourced market size is the one number a client will take apart in the meeting.
