Operational Transformation
The target operating model, the processes worth changing first, and the benefits tracked against a captured baseline. A target model that changes nobody\u2019s job is a relabelled organisation, not a transformed one — and a benefit with no baseline is a claim that cannot be checked.
The engagement brief
The numbers are computed on our side in Python. The model writes the analysis around them and cannot restate or adjust them.
Questions this playbook raises
- What makes a benefit real here?
- A baseline captured before the change. A benefit with no baseline is a claim, and it will be unfalsifiable by the time anyone asks. Baselines are captured from the client’s own data wherever it exists; where only a benchmark exists, it is labelled as one.
- How is the first process chosen?
- The one with the highest cost and the lowest evidence — not the one with the most visible problem. The heatmap is a view of where the effort goes, not a verdict on the people doing it.
- Is the operational transformation playbook free?
- Yes. It needs no account, and there is no limit you will hit in a trial.
- What do you need from the client?
- Where the time and money actually goes, how the work is really done rather than how it is meant to be, what has already been tried, and the constraints that are real — contracts, regulation, and the people who cannot move.
