Terms of Service

Last updated: 4 October 2026

Agreement

By creating an account or using ConsultantAI, you agree to these terms. If you are using the service for an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Who we are

needs legal input — this document does not currently name a registered legal entity, company number, or registered address, because none has been designated. Until that is settled, the party you are contracting with is identified only by the contact addresses at the end of these terms. That is not sufficient for a commercial agreement, and it must be completed before these terms are relied on.

The service

ConsultantAI generates consulting deliverables using third-party language models. Output is produced by probabilistic models. It can be wrong, incomplete, out of date, or inappropriate for your situation. Review all output before relying on it, and do not use it as a substitute for qualified professional judgement.

Your content and your rights

  • You keep ownership of everything you upload and everything we generate for you. We claim no ownership of your output.
  • You grant us the limited licence needed to operate the service for you: to store your content, process it, and send the parts required for generation to our AI providers. This licence ends when you delete the content, aside from retention in backups that rotate out.
  • You confirm you have the right to upload what you upload, and that doing so does not infringe anyone else’s rights or breach a confidentiality obligation you owe a third party.
  • You are responsible for reviewing output before relying on it, including checking figures, citations, and assumptions.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service to break the law or to violate anyone’s rights.
  • Upload content you do not have the right to share, including another party’s confidential information without authorisation.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access, probe or disrupt the service, bypass rate limits, or reverse engineer it, except where that restriction cannot lawfully be imposed.
  • Resell, sublicense, or provide the service to third parties as a competing offering.
  • Use the service to generate unlawful, deceptive, or defamatory material.

We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these terms, or if we are required to do so by law.

Free tools and rate limits

The public tools are provided free of charge and without an account. To protect availability we apply usage limits, which may change. Free tools are for evaluation and light use; they are not a substitute for a paid plan and carry no uptime or support commitment.

Your account

Keep your credentials secure and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may reset credentials or suspend accounts that we reasonably believe are compromised or being used to abuse the service.

Fees, refunds, and changes

needs legal input — no paid plan is currently on sale and no payment processor is integrated, so nothing is billed today. If paid plans are introduced, the billing arrangement, refund policy, and tax treatment must be settled and documented here before any charge is made.

Third-party services

The service relies on third-party infrastructure and model providers, including the subprocessors listed in our Privacy Policy. We do not control them and are not responsible for their availability or conduct. Your use of those providers may also be subject to their own terms.

Disclaimer

Except as expressly stated, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that output will be accurate or fit for your purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities, arising out of your use of the service. Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or one hundred US dollars (100 USD).

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, demand, loss, or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use of the service, your breach of these terms, your content, or your violation of anyone else’s rights.

Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. Self-service account deletion is not currently offered; to have your account and its data deleted, email us and we will action it. We may suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe are being used to breach these terms. On termination your right to use the service ends. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination do survive, including disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnity.

Governing law

needs legal input — the governing law and forum are not yet settled, because no legal entity or place of establishment has been designated. That clause must be completed before these terms are contractually enforceable. Where you deal with us as a consumer in the EEA or UK, you retain the protection of mandatory local consumer law and may bring proceedings in your local courts. Nothing removes the right to bring proceedings in a court of competent jurisdiction.

Changes

We may revise these terms. The date at the top shows the current version. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the revised terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the service.

Scope of these terms

These terms describe the obligations that actually apply to your use of ConsultantAI. Where a clause depends on a fact we have not established — our legal identity, payment arrangements, governing law — it is marked needs legal input in place rather than filled in with an assumption. The corresponding Privacy Policy sets out the same gaps on the data-handling side.
